Inner Peace Success
Lots of arguments can be provided on how one can reach success and stand out from the crowd. Eventually, the answer to that question rest on how one defines success. Is success being popular and appreciated by others, being wealthy, or reach a certain social status? The arguments over which definition of success is appropriate are all legitimate. I will focus on that kind of success i believe is the best because it is has the foundations to last for a long time and that is inner peace.
For that peace to occur, there are several conditions that needs to be met. One of them is knowing one’s qualities and defects. This is the best weapon available to reach success because it entails knowing ourselves. Meanwhile, being aware of one’s abilities and limits is not innate. It comes with a degree of meditation and communication with one’s inner self which can only be accomplished by putting a certain distance between one and others until that awareness is reached. This self awareness is the backbone of any long and lasting success.
Another condition for the occurrence of inner peace is respect. That involves first and foremost respecting yourself. Indeed, one should clean up his or her own house before complaining about how dirty someone else’s house is. Respect is learned within one’s self before being applied to others. With respect comes a certain level of discipline that i can say is an underlined requirement for reaching inner peace.
A third and important requirement for inner peace is being yourself. This requirements is the corollary of the above mentioned conditions. It completes one’s inner study and means that we are able to go in the crowd and not be impressed and intimidated by anyone and anybody. By being ourselves, we have the ability to apply our natural qualities to any issues we face.
This list is not exhaustive but it is the roof under which inner peace is built. With that acquired inner peace, lots of opportunities will follow. Indeed, a study of the great thinkers and leaders of our time show that they had a kind of self awareness and inner peace that defined them. From JFK to Gandhi, inner peace is one quality those great man shared among others. They were able to stand out of the crowd and be remembered for the impact they had on future generations because they believed in themselves and their abilities, they knew what they could possibly achieve or not achieve thus had peace within themselves. We all have our own version of success but i am sure everyone would like his or her success to be long and lasting and be remembered until the end of times and that kind of success comes with inner peace.
