Inherit Good and Bad Sin Imperfection - No

Needless to say, but true, when you inherit genetic makeup, it’s yours to keep. You can’t say I don’t like ,you can’t say, take it back. It’s yours, irregardless of whether it is good or bad. When you inherit something it means it has been given to you by someone else. Where or by whom did you receive good? Was it from your parents, and their parents before them? Taking a look at our fore fathers is the place to start in tracing the line of inherited goodness.

In the beginning man and woman was created perfect. Everything was good and that included the first man and woman on earth. This is where our roots are and this is where we must start to find out whether we, indeed. inherited good or bad. All well and good, the first pair was good and perfect so we must have inherited good. Going back to the first perfect man and woman, something happened to change that good creation to make it bad. What was that? Eve looked at that apple on the tree, which she had been told explicitly, not to eat, She ate and then gave it to Adam to eat. He ate. Immediately, they knew what they had done. Their perfect and good condition changed to bad and imperfection. Thus they were bad. It is through this pair that good went away and was replaced by bad.

We cannot inherit good, because through Adam and Eve sin and bad entered into the world and spred to all mankind through genetic makeup. We inherited bad. All have sinned, In early Bible times, Jesus was called a good teacher. Jesus corrected the statement, saying, “I am not good, only The Father is good, no one except He is good.

We can inherit the color of our eyes, the color of our skin, our hair color but we cannot inherit good. We can be born with a predisposition to good and that is an inclination or willingness for good. An individual has to work hard to overcome bad tendencies. The bad is always with you. Your sinful flesh desires to do what is bad. It’s like the itch in the middle of your back. It keep itching until you eventually, reach and sooth it. Yes, you soothed that itch, but another one crops up somewhere else. It’s a constant battle to win over bad tendencies.

There is a fight against good and bad going on in each of us. Some will fight and win, some will fight and fall by the wayside. For each and everyone of us, falling down is not the end. We can get up, brush ourselves off and try, try, again. As long as there is life and breath there is another chance.
