Emotions Love Strongest Emotion
Might sound a bit corny, but I believe that love is, by far, the most powerful emotion known to the animal kingdom. Love in and of itself is powerful, but just think of all the strong emotions and feelings which spring from it. Love takes you for a roller coaster ride that no other known emotion can take you on. Love, in a sense, embodies - or leads to - every other emotion.
When you fall in love and everything seems just perfect, you feel as if you can take the entire world over. You feel a motivation which you’ve never felt before and you feel that, with this amazing person at your side, you can accomplish anything. It’s like a constant adrenaline rush of amazement without the jittery side-effects. It’s a really amazing feeling and, when you go through it, you feel as if you’re the only person in the history of the world to have ever felt this way.
Love also causes confusion at times. Stressful, sleep-destroying confusion. What happens when everything is going perfectly and humming right along, and then the partner you love so very much all of the sudden seems different or off for a couple of days? Probably they’re just going through a hard time at work or had an argument with their parent, etc., but in your mind you’re contemplating whether they’re happy with you. You’re contemplating whether they love you as much as you love them. You’re contemplating whether they’re going to stay with you.
Two more emotions which spin off of love are rage and hatred. Blind rage and hatred combined. And this can happen to men or women (although men are always more dangerous by physical default). When a partner leaves you, that can cause rage. When you are ‘cheated on’ by your partner, that can fling you into a murderous rage. I could be wrong, but I believe most calls to the police are over domestic disputes between couples.
Another emotion which can come from love is complete sadness. When a relationship ends, both people usually look and feel like they’re going through a drug withdrawal. They can’t eat, they can’t sleep, they feel terrible, they lose (or gain) weight, they’re crying, they’re detached, they’re trembling. They’re everything you see in a person who is withdrawing from an addictive substance. Or, something awful can happen to the person you love and you actually feel their sadness by way of empathy.
As you can see, love is, by far, the strongest emotion. Reason being? It is so powerful that every other emotion possible can be born of love.
