For hundreds of years, stories of vampires haunted the land and scared all the people. The vampires fed off the living and either killed their meal, or converted it into a vampire to join their ranks. In the old times, people would rush home before dark and they avoided shadows. Their only safe place was a temple of God.

In a battle between Vampires and Lycans, vampires would have the upper hand in the battle.

Vampires have many advantages that can enable them to win in a fight. First of all, vampires have a speed that none can match. They are capable of outrunning every person or machine. Even the mighty werewolf cannot compete with a vampire in a race. The large size itself is a factor, for when running through a forest, the slim figure of a vampire would easily avoid trees. So in a fight, a vampire can use it speed to get behind a werewolf and damage it until the werewolf begins to fall.

Another leverage vampires have is their incredible ability to heal. When a vampire is injured, they quickly heal and suffer little damage. This is because they are undead and their body does not need the blood as much as humans do. However, having fresh human blood in their veins make them stronger and heal even faster. A werewolf on the other hand is at a disadvantage. Although they heal almost as fast as vampires, werewolves are still part human and any significant loss of blood can kill them. So it should be easy for a vampire to rid a werewolf in a battle.

A major factor is the time when a vampire and a werewolf would fight. Vampires are very weak when it comes to daylight. They shrivel up and burn a painful death quickly. A werewolf on the other hand can travel through open sunlight with no problem. But, werewolves have a big disadvantage. A werewolf only changes into his beastly form once a month under the full moon. All it takes is for a vampire to track down a werewolf in his human form during any other stage of the moon and kill him. Or, if the vampire in question is unable to find the lycan, he simple has to acquire a gun with silver bullets and shoot the werewolf from a safe distance. Werewolves are normally bullet-proof, but the purity of silver weakens them and eventually kills them.

Also, the battle can play out in the favor of the vampire in the terms of cunning. A werewolf is just a very large and strong canine. When in beast form, the werewolves are possessed by a bloodlust because of their form. The human inside them has very little control over the body. A vampire on the other hand is in control all the time as now they are a vampire. So in a fight between the two, the vampire would have more control over the fight because they can think about their actions while the werewolf would do things through instinct.

So be it strength, speed or cunning, Vampires are superior in almost every way. So if I was to choose which race I wanted to become, I would become a vampire because I want to be on the winning team.
